Normal factory clear coat has hardness between 2H and 4H. LUMIN Series Crystal Ceramic increases the hardness of the vehicle’s clear coat by 250% to 300%.
Once cured, the LUMIN Series Crystal Ceramic is measured to have a hardness between 7H- 10H (depending on the product layered).
This makes it one of the hardest paint protection coatings in the market.
Unlike other paint protection systems, which float over the factory paint, LUMIN Series Crystal Ceramic coating becomes an integral part of the vehicle paint by bonding strongly and permanently, thus giving an additional layer of hard clear coat.
This coating is crystal clear, which does not interfere with the colour of the factory paint but increases the colour depth (Saturation), Richness, Slickness and Gloss to the factory paint.
If Surface scratches occur on the ceramic coating, they can be corrected with Compounding or Polishing, thus protecting the integrity of the original factory colour/clear coat.

HYAC is a maintenance spray ceramic coating which comes in standard Sio2 formulation and also with GNT infusion.
Vison X is for coating windshield and other glass surfaces. Vison X has special additives like ATO NP (Antimony Tin Oxide Nano Particles) which rejects IR (InfraRed) radiation in the suns rays thus keeping the car interior cool during Hot season. Its recommended to coat both exterior and interior of all glasses to have good IR rejection.
Maintenance of LUMIN Series Ceramic Coating:
IMPORTANT NOTE: Washing/Drying or any maintenance on the ceramic/Graphene coating should the done using quality 400 gsm and above MICRO FIBER cloths only.
Like your vehicle which needs periodic maintenance to keep it in top performing condition, any coating product also needs periodic maintenance.
Paint protection systems by nature are sacrificial. That means any and all abuse that befall on the vehicle paint hits the coating first which absorbs the hit by sacrificing itself by degradation and wearing off. Same is the story with Ceramic Coating only that the coating is a shield by itself it can withstand the abuse much stronger and longer. Reality is that Ceramic Coating too wear-off right from day 1 of its installation. The rate of wear is directly proportional to the degree of best practices applied in maintaining the coating.
MAJOR MAINTENANCE:
At least once a year the coating has to be evaluated for the amount of wear and it needs to be supplemented with an additional coat of LIGHT ceramic for continued protection and top performance. This schedule is best done by professionals who had installed the coating in the first place.
For the enthusiastic who would not mind to spend time with their car to keep up the shine, a pack of Hydrophobic Activator (HYAC) would do the job perfectly. It is a Spray-Wipe-Buff product specifically formulated for the enthusiastic car loving people who loves to touch and feel their car. Every 9-12 months HYAC can be applied to maintain the gloss and slickness of the car paint.
MINOR MAINTENANCE:
At lease every 3 months the vehicle has to be thoroughly cleaned as per recommended process, de-greased and couple of layers of any good DIY Ceramic BOOSTER coat available in the market be applied to keep the underlying ceramic coating in great shape and performance.
This Minor maintenance schedule is very easy and can be done at home by the car owner with the Booster ceramic product. This is a cool spray,apply and wipe product.
If both the Major and Minor maintenance schedule are performed regularly then the coating can protect the underlying factory paint for life time of the vehicle.
Day to Day Maintenance of LUMIN Series Ceramic Coating:
ALWAYS USE QUALITY MICRO FIBER CLOTH FOR VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
Remove loose dust and debris using a blower.
Fill RO water in a one liter spray bottle. Add 1 tea spoon of any quality car wash shampoo and mix well. Spray the mixture on one panel at a time.
Wet a clean micro fibre cloth fold into 4 and run it over the sprayed panel in straight lines without applying any pressure to remove the dust.
Once the sprayed area looks clean, buff the area with lightest pressure using a clean dry high GSM (400 and above) micro fibre cloth.
Clean and dry one panel at a time.
Clean the entire car repeating the above steps one panel at a time.
# Always clean the car from TOP to Bottom. While cleaning doors and fenders clean from top to bottom horizontally.
# Water spots will happen if using hard ground water and washing in hot climate conditions. In these conditions work in small areas and use multiple dry micro fibre cloth to dry the area immediately.
# For bird drops, try to remove immediately when wet with wet micro fibre cloth. If dried soak the area with the water shampoo mixture. Soak for few minutes and gently run a WET micro fibre cloth over the area to remove the contamination.
# For heavily soiled and mudded areas use pressure washer and foam to loosen and remove the caked mud. Rinse thoroughly and dry the car using quality high GSM micro fibre cloth.
NOTE: In any of the cleaning process steps described above, NEVER use circular motion. Always use straight line motion to clean the surface.
Yes, LUMIN series products are formulated to be safe on current generation car paint. It will not damage your clearcoat or paint and will not void any manufacturer warranties. However we recommend to test the product in some hidden painted area before proceeding. Might not work with old 1K alkyd and NC paints.
No, LUMIN Series will not Crack, Peel or Yellow.
Yes, LUMIN Series is versatilie to protect any surface you choose. (except old gen car paints)
Yes, once LUMIN Series is applied you will never need to do any protection again. Cleaning your vehicle’s paint is as easy as maintaining glass/windshield.
Yes, after LUMIN Series coating cures it becomes harder than paint. The coating is much more resistant to wash induced scratching. LUMIN Series is a glass coating, and while glass can still be scratched and chipped, it is much more resistant than your clearcoat.
Yes, LUMIN Series HYAC product can be applied by self. However per-condition (like paint correction) required for coating application to be carried out by trained professionals.
Any detailer, dealership or service centre well versed in vehicle detailing can apply.
No, the paint has to be surface corrected. Professional detailers will restore your vehicle to the absolute best condition prior to LUMIN Series application.

Yes. To some extent. Water spots happen due to hard water droplets drying on the car paint. This process is independent of whether coating is applied or not. Water spots tend to adhere on ceramic coating if water droplets are allowed to dry on it. To minimise water spotting it is recommended to apply HYAC every 6 months.
Yes, LUMIN Series does an excellent job protecting your chrome/polished finishes from corrosion, oxidation and discoloration. LUMIN Series’s self-cleaning effect also makes maintenance a breeze. No need to continuously polish your chrome/polished finishes to keep its original shine.
LUMIN Series is a coating or another thin layer of hard, gloosy clear coat. So it will not prevent paint chips due to rock hits. However when compared to factory clear coat LUMIN Series offers far better resistance to rock chips during normal usage.
Depending on product line LUMIN Series durability ranges from 2 year to up-to 4+ years.
With regular recommended maintenance the durability can be increased to life time.
No, LUMIN Series cannot be washed away like a wax or sealant. Using abrasion methods (wet sanding/compound/polish) is the only way to remove LUMIN Series.
No, LUMIN Series Products are the permanent replacement to wax and sealants.
You should wait 4-5 days before the 1st wash to allow the bonding to harden and the coating to fully cure. If you notice that your car gets water spots, bird droppings, tree sap etc. during this period immediately remove it following our car care instructions.

Never use excessive rubbing and force to remove spot contamination.
Surface contamination such as bird droppings, tar, tree sap should be removed as soon as possible to avoid temporary staining of the coating and/or hardening on the surface requiring professional removal
